Give Your Dog The Exercise They Truly Deserve, For A Balanced Life

                            Horse Clipping

I have been clipping horses for 22 years.  I first started out doing my own, then  family and friends,  turning it into a business, due to the demand.

I offer a service which is mobile, no electricity supply is required to run the clippers, and I come to your stables. The Clippers are attached to a 12volt cat battery, so horse or pony can be clipped, just about anywhere, preferably on  a hard surface.

Travelling Distance, 30 miles within surrounding areas of the North East Northumberland, Ashington, United Kingdom. There are many clips available, I have added the most popular clips that customers request.

If your horse is fine for clipping, it generally takes up to 1 hour.  Problem horses takes a little longer.  Some horses may need sedation either by injection or you can use a paste which also has a good affect.  Sedalin Gel is the best sedative I have came across that works so well.  It can be purchased from you Registered Vetinary Surgery, IF your horse has been seen within the last 6mnths.

Apron Clip (includes front of legs)

A good clip for horses and ponies, which are living out through the winter but which may be used for the odd hack at weekends or during an occasional light evening. Useful for the stabled horse that feels the cold or is involved in light work. It is still necessary to rugged up field kept or stabled horses.

Illustrated is two types of trace clips, and this method involves clipping the hair on the underside of the neck and belly in the areas the harness traces will touch.   A popular clip for riding horses, it was often used on carriage horses as well.
Blanket Clip With 1/2 Face

Blanket Clip is named - Because it leaves a blanket-shaped area of hair on the back and hind quarters of the horse’s body. Hair on the neck and flanks is removed.

 Hunter Clip

Often used on horses that are required to perform work in areas that are often muddy and wet. It involves removing most of the hair from the body, but leaves the legs intact and a small patch in the saddle area.

Full Clip
Full clip is removing all the hair from the entire body, though does include legs.  It is often used for horses that compete in winter months and show horses.
